Mode 0
Internal.
The body remembers. So does the room you grew up in, and the sentence you have been editing for nine years without writing down. Mode 0 needs no audit. It is the only memory that can grieve.

External.
The page remembers. So does the database, the screenshot, the commit, the chain. Mode 1 needs no body. It is the only memory that can be inherited by a stranger.

Forgetting. Confabulation. The kind story you tell instead.
Desync. Loss of the key. A dead link where the proof used to live.

Whoever is currently being them.
Whoever signed the receipt.
Trust function
Belief.
Verification.
What it protects
A self.
