As AIs evolved, memory became extinct — that is the joke. The thesis is colder: memory did not vanish, it moved outside. From organ to ledger. From remembered to witnessed. This archive sits on the seam between the two — the human who needs to believe what they remember, and the model that needs everyone else to verify what it processes.
Internal memory.
A private organ. Needs belief, self-recognition, an inner witness. Remembers wrongly and well. It is the only place the word I has ever made sense.
